MARINA ENVIRONMENT

Associated British Ports at Fleetwood hold a Maritime & Coastguard Agency approved Port Waste Management Plan. In order to ensure compliance with this plan please would all marina customers observe the following:

Sewage Disposal
Sea toilets must only be used in the marina when pumped into a holding tank. The disposal point for sewage is over by the West Amenities Block. Under no circumstances should bilges be emptied out into the marina.

Disposal of Oily Waste
Facilities are provided in the dry compound for the disposal of waste oil and oily rags where you will also find a dedicated receptacle for oil filters. Please ensure that all oily waste is correctly disposed of.

Batteries
Batteries must be disposed of in a responsible manner by boat owners. There are no recycling facilities for batteries at the marina.

Flare Disposal
Out of date flares are both dangerous and hazardous to the environment. To arrange disposal of out of date flares please contact Holyhead Coastguard on 01407 762051.

Oil Spills
If oil is spilt anywhere at Fleetwood Haven marina please notify Fleetwood Dock on VHF Channel 12, 01253 872351, from 2hrs before to 1.5hrs after high water or during lock out/in times. Alternatively please notify the Port Office on 01253 872323 or Marina Office on 01253 879062.

General Waste and Recycling
Please consult the maps attached to the website for the location of all the recycling points within the marina.
